Title: Account Manager
How long have you been with Regency?
What made you want to work for Regency?
Regency is a solid outfit – the owner is a man of his word and treats his people well.
What is a normal day like for you at work?
Orders Quotes both Print and Promo, and lots of communication with vendors and sales. Meetings and Go-tos. I run a mean BBQ as well outside the warehouse. Oh and we all share a great deal of laughs. Got to have a good time at what you do, and enjoy the insanity and the people you work with.
How has working with Regency been beneficial for your career? What have you learned?
Promo. I have gotten a strong knowledge of Promotional products. I have been exposed to various platforms and software. I have absorbed much info from the “Yoda” of Promo, Mr. Robert Abeel. Great teacher he was to this Jedi.
What has been your favorite part about working here?
Without a doubt, the People. Sales, Accounting, Graphics, CSR’s, Print Shop and Warehouse. Much love for a lot of the folks around here.
What is something unique about your experience at Regency?
I like to think I bring a NY presence to the office. What I mean by that is this – I communicate well. Conversation is a lost art. It went out the door along with the handwritten letter and the 3 PC Suit, which I am bringing both back single handedly. The fastest way to a meeting of the minds is to have those two minds talking to one another. I am also told that I can get a laugh now and again.
A laugh can change an entire attitude around. Great communication tool. Grasshopper walks into a Bar and the Bartender says, “He pal, ya know we have a drink named after you?” Grasshopper responds, “You have a drink named Larry do ya?” Now you have to laugh at that. A group laugh puts us all on the same playing field.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? Tell us a fun fact about you.
Being with my family and pups. Making my Lawn and Garden as good as it can be. I enjoy the labor that a home demands. Love putting on a new coat of paint when its needed. Updating and maintaining our palace is enjoyable to me. Fun fact….? My Dad was the “Apple” in the Fruit of the Loom commercials a zillion years ago. He did that for 8 years. For me that was 4th grade up until graduation.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I have a Grandchild. A Grandchild that is not allowed to be seen on social media. I am not allowed to smear his face all over Facebook. It is a travesty. I want to so very badly…..It’s like giving a starving person and egg roll without Hot Mustard and Duck sauce…? What’s the point really?
