This series will give you the chance to learn a little more about the great people who make up the Regency360 team. Every month a new Employee Spotlight will be released, giving you the opportunity to get to know some of our great hard-working people!
What made you want to work for Regency?
I was looking for a position in B2B sales and I really liked the model that Regency had. Also, in the interviewing process, all of the employees were very welcoming and it seemed like a fun place to work!
What is a normal day like for you at work?
The great part about my job is that every day is different, so it keeps me on my toes. A big part of my day is spent managing accounts that I have brought on in the past 2.5 years, but I also spend a good amount of time prospecting for new accounts. Each day I could be making calls, emailing prospects, setting up meetings, quoting products, building webstores, or placing orders for my customers.
How has working with Regency been beneficial to your career? What have you learned?
Since this is only my second job out of school, it has been incredibly helpful to gain the experience that I have. Everyday I learn something new about the print/promo/apparel space that helps me to better serve my customer base. In addition to that, I have gained a lot of knowledge about the sales process. My job includes the full sales cycle – setting the meeting, running the meeting, managing impactful follow ups, bringing customers on board and managing those accounts to form a really good client relationship that will be with us for many years to come.
What has been your favorite part about working at Regency?
My favorite part about working at Regency is the people. From the St. Louis sales team to other sales reps across the country to our customer support reps in Raleigh, everyone comes to work with a great attitude and we always keep things light and humorous. I know I can always count on my colleagues if I have a question and I usually get a good laugh out of it, which really helps throughout the day.
What is something unique about your experience at Regency?
I get to promote and sell so many different products. These range from apparel, promo, print, office supplies, furniture, shredding, managed print serves. Heck, I have even sold a drone! The weirdest thing I have ever sourced for a customer was a plastic dog key chain with trash bags coming out of its rear end for their dog cleanup needs!
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work? Tell us a fun fact about you.
I enjoy hanging out with my fiancé, friends and family. I love live music so we go to a lot of concerts and a fun fact about me is that I am a St. Louis Blues season ticket holder so I go to a LOT of hockey games.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Back in high school I taught myself how to play piano and the guitar. I’ve been playing guitar ever since.
If you could have dinner with any famous person from any era, who would it be and why?
I would go to dinner with Dave Matthews. I have been to 8 Dave Matthews Band concerts and he is just a cool guy… maybe I’d get a few pointers on the guitar too.
